Our team offers a wide range of Traditional Surveying options, including:

Boundary Surveys
Boundary Surveys are performed to locate and map the boundaries of a specific property. Our field crews survey and mark the corners of the property along with any improvements, and our office prepares a map of the property for your records.

Mortgage Surveys
Mortgage Surveys are most commonly used for real estate transactions. Our field crews survey and mark the corners of the property, measure buildings and hardscape, and our office prepares a map of the property for the owner or title company.

Topographic Surveys
Topographic Surveys show elevation points on a parcel of land and/or surrounding areas and are useful for planning and development of a piece of property. Topographic Surveys show natural and artificial land features and are most often represented by a contour map. We perform topographic surveys for residential and commercial areas as well as raw land. See engineering surveys for more information.

FEMA Elevation Certificates
The elevation certificate is an important administrative tool for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and an important risk management tool for property owners with buildings currently classified within FEMA designated Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA). It provides information on elevation, building type, flood map location, and additional information used to determine the proper flood insurance premium rates. It is also used to support a request for a Letter Of Map Amendment (LOMA) or Letter Of Map Revision (LOMR), and to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances.

ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
An ALTA Survey is a boundary survey that meets specific detail requirements set forth in the ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys Specifications. This type of survey shows the boundaries and improvements of a specific property and plots any easements that are listed in a title search, along with other checklist items decided on the title insurer.

As-Built Surveys
An As-built Survey shows the details of a completed construction or infrastructure project, and often compares measurements to approved plans. This type of survey is most often required to finish a construction or infrastructure project.

Construction Layout
Our firm offers layout services to contractors for the staking of buildings, hardscape, utilities, or other improvements that are to be built on a piece of property. Using the approved plans for the project, we can physically mark the locations of such improvements on-site to aid in the construction process.

Subdivision Platting
Platting is the process by which larger pieces of property are divided up into smaller pieces. This is done by creating a map (or plat) of the new subdivision and recording it with the county.
